Leg 2: Day 7 - On our way to Mobile

October 21, 2026: We left Kingfisher Marina at 7:15 am with three other Looper boats following us to the lock about 3 miles away. There was a mist on the water that made it quite picturesque. Below you will see where some of the boats “rafted” inside the lock - meaning one boat tied to the side of another boat, which was fixed to the lock wall. After the lock, it was a clear path - of which we had some 95 miles to Bobby’s Fishcamp. Bobby’s is not a marina but it does have a floating dock that we were able to tie onto upon arrival behind two other Loopers. (At three boats, the dock was full.) The weather has been warm and clear so the weather gods are smiling upon us.

Our first alligator sighting occurred along the way today. There is no restaurant, bar or store at Bobby’s Fishcamp so Tom had to make dinner (because we all know Rayma will not be doing that). Then it will be time for cards (International Rummy).
