Leg 2: Day 7 - Bobby’s Fishcamp to Dog River

October 22, 2026: We pushed off at 7 am from Bobby’s Fishcamp to head into our final lock of this leg. It was foggy so all our attention was on being safe but beautiful. We knew we had 118 miles to travel so thus the early start. Tom caught this movie (to the right) of a bald eagle flying alongside us.

The way to Mobile was VERY circuitous as can be seen by the photo of our chart plotter and the weather was warm - not as hot as 113 as the little thermometer on our dash would indicate. Mobile Bay is absolutely HUGE as are the ships we had to pass. We arrived at the marina in Dog River and were tired puppies.
