Our Delite
Fountaine Pajot MY4S
Our Delite is a power cat measuring 36’ from bow to stern with a 17 foot beam (width); a draft of 2.6’ (depth under the waterline) and air clearance of 12.4’ (height above the waterline). There are two 250 HP Yanmar engines.
We have a Highfield dinghy that sits in a cradle on the swimdeck at the back of the boat. The swimdeck raises up and down into the water.
There are three berths; two on the starboard side - depicted in the above video - and the master suite on the port side. There is a head on each side.
The Boat also has to be fueled, oil and coolant checked, etc. every time we launch. Almost daily Tom feels the need to wash the decks (mostly due to the bug/insect invasions). Over time we have developed a routine for taking off as well as docking. It is one thing to dock on a wall and another to fit into a slip. We have gotten better at both. There is also a routine for when we have docked - to secure the lines in a way that allows Zander to get on and off with less risk - put away the extra fnders and connect to shore power.
