Days 36-37: The Nautical Mile

July 7 and 8 - St. Claire Shores, Michigan.

After an unexpected downpour, every towel got used so, in Ditchbank-Okie-Fashion, we hung the towels out to dry, demonstrating we are not the high class neighbors. Keith and Marcia tolerated this to a point. They left us today, heading back to Shaver.

Not only did the weather not cooperate but we also have some technical and mechanical issues to take care of - meaning we are staying put longer than expected. We did manage to get the Starlink back operational; however, we are still working on the generator. The generator runs the AC when we do not have shore power so … let’s call it a necessity. Other than the Starlink, the major accomplishment of the day was six loads of laundry. We have also started nailing down the next few weeks of (anticipated) marinas. The learning curve is still an upward climb.

Being in the dock for two days was boring for Zander but as, Chief of Security, he remained vigilant.
