Day 20: Day of Rest …
6:37 am June 19, 2025 in Little Falls, NY. Don’t let that fog fool you - it was 67 degrees already.
After the previous day, we were all fairly tired. We looked at the potential schedule of locks, marina choices, etc., and decided to make a short easy day of it. We went through one lock - no other boats were in the lock with us - and then decided to spend the night at the Ilion Marina. This is a small town-owned marina/RV park. We tied up and the manager came out to greet us. It had all the facilities and though we had planned on doing laundry we did not. Dean and Rayma hoofed it to the local Aldi’s market for a few provisions. Rayma took a nap. Dean took Zander on a walk. After a dinner procured at the hamburger stand at the marina, the three of us sat in the marina’s picnic pavilion and played cards (Golf). A few sprinkles across the day, which is a short-term relief from the humidity. It is supposed to really rain most of the night.
Tomorrow is payback for the luxury of today - we have about 40 miles to go and three locks. Stay tuned for more.
