Day 2: Bohemia Bay to Hancock Harbor
We started in Bohemia Bay - 5 am sunrise! Lovely marina and a peaceful night after our first day on the Loop. We went onto the Elk River which becomes the “C&D Canal” (Chesapeake and Delaware) and Jill even drove part of the way. We headed down the Delaware to Hancock Harbor so the certified Yanmar mechanic could perform our mandatory 50 hour oil change. What a find the Hancock Harbor was! The Bait Box - a great restaurant - a band was playing most of the afternoon and early evening, and wonderful folks everywhere. Zander was welcome even inside the restaurant. Tom and Jill got in a nap on the front deck under Zander’s watchful eye. And yes, we got some card playing in while waiting for the oil change to be completed. This was a great stop and we would encourage anyone to stop here.
We have to say something about the two women on the jet skis - SeaDooner (Amy) from Thousand Oaks, CA doing the Loop! Kudos ladies for your spirit and commitmet
This is the Garmin/Navionics track of the route taken from Bohemia Bay to Hancock Harbor. Fortunate to have good weather.
