Day 3: Getting to Cape May (aka the New Jersey Shore or the Atlantic)

5:15 am sunrise at Hancock Harbor.

Hancock Harbor continued to deliver as can be seen by the photos and video. But we were behind the eight ball on getting a slip for today and could not find a place that could accommodate our width and length in our intended destination of Cape May. Finally we went a little north to Wildwood at the Schooner Island Marina - which is the biggest marina we have stayed at - no contest there. Still ironing out some wrinkles in our operations of the boat and docking but we are getting better.

Tomorrow we go out on to open water and go up the New Jersey Shore. This has to be done in good weather and it looks like the weather gods are being benevolent. It will be a long, hard day so we need everyone’s thoughts and prayers for a safe journey all the way to Sandy Hook, New Jersey, where our next marina is located. (We have learned our lesson - we have booked our next three marinas through June 9.)
