Day One: Up the Chesapeake
After a night of intense thunderstorms and down pouring rain, we woke to almost clear skies and a brisk breeze. We had water to clear out of the bilges but dropping off the rental car was a commitment to launch. We left Annapolis around 10:30. Tom drove amidst 15-17 mph winds and 1-2 foot waves during the first couple of hours. There were some bumps in the road (he forgot to turn on the radio, we couldn’t get one of the doors to shut and the microwave door got stuck as well) and Rayma had scheduled a marina on the wrong river. Everything got fixed and we landed in Bohemia Bay Yacht Harbor about 3:30 pm. No rain, thunderstorms or other weather problems as can be seen by the photos and video. All is good.

And after the first day, Tom was, of course, entitled to a little celebration and so an IPA with the name “Lost Navigator” seemed the perfect choice.
Tomorrow we head to Hancock Harbor for our 50 hour oil change.
