Day 42: Rogers City, Michigan - Eastern Shore

From Alpena, Our Delite headed north along the eastern shore of Michigan to Rogers City. Another small town with an excellent safe harbor marina.

Looking north onto Lake Huron

Tom is never happier than piloting with a grandchild!

Cruising on the back of Our Delite.

The way up the eastern shore was easier than yesterday; however, it turns out what we thought was fog is smoke - although there is no smell of smoke. Apparently, there are wildfires in Canada from which smoke is drifting down to Michigan.

There are sailing contests going on right now on Lake Huron. We saw a few sailboats but have no idea where they ended up.
