Day 10: Rainy day errands

Because it was raining, we took the day off to tend to necessary errands:

  • Zander had to go to the vet to finish his Lyme disease vaccinations);

  • Tom went to Home Depot for no-slip strips to put on the boat steps; and,

  • Jill and Rayma went to have their nails done.

Above, Jill and Tom fix dinner.

Tom is making dinner with the special mushrooms he bought yesterday at the farmer’s market.

Rayma is starting Happy Hour after having spent a couple of hours trying to plan out the Trent-Severn versus Erie Canal-Buffalo routes that would allow friends to join the journey and have fun. This is more tedious and complicated than is immediately apparent because the presence of locks between marinas or anchorages affects the timing. It’s not done yet but Happy Hour starts at 3:30 so it was time to take a break to watch Jill and Tom make dinner.
