Day 7: Croton-on-Hudson

We went up the Hudson to the Hudson River Valley, stopping at Croton-on-Hudson (Half Moon Bay Marina). We went through Yonkers (doesn’t look anything like it did in Hello Dolly!) and Sleepy Hollow. We are being tourists tomorrow but tonight we went to a small family Greek restaurant for a great dinner. There we met Matthew and Ava. Matthew had gone to UC Berkeley and had lived in the SF Bay Area, so we had some common ground. He gave us some types on seeing this area as well.

At Half Moon Bay Marina

Croton-on-Hudson is close to the West Point Museum, the FDR Estate and the Rockefeller Estate. There is also a local dam system and gorge that we plan to visit.

We don’t know what this was or is but it's on the New Jersey side of the Hudson as we cruised through NYC and it drew our attention.

Glad to be getting off the boat!
